A couple of weeks ago I got to brainstorm for two days in my capacity as Core Advisor for the International Ecocity Framework & Standards Initiative about how to integrate nature based solutions into the way we humans design our settlements, at the International Union for Conservation of Nature headquarters in Gland, Switzerland. Just like nature (most of the time), the process of developing of these World Environmental Hubs is slow and gradual, but fully worth it. Sharing the space with change makers from Indonesia to South Africa and Korea to Colombia had me fully immersed in the vast ecosystem of human ideas and cultures. Takeaway: We’re One but not the same.
